Iridium Spa at The St. Regis Bali Resort

A luxe Bali sanctuary for renewal
VERIFIED LUXURY
Strings of delicate crystal beads and Balinese décor mark the circular entrance of the indoor/outdoor Iridium Spa, a luxurious tropical oasis within The St. Regis Bali Resort. A butterfly theme runs through the space and the motif can be found in various spots in the spa, from treatment room linens to wall graphics. A symbol of relaxation, the fluttering insect takes center stage in the semi-alfresco waiting area — there you will see a wall covered with stunning ornamental butterflies.

Koi ponds flank the wooden walkways connecting private treatment rooms. The only sound you can hear from the plush drawing room furniture while awaiting a treatment is the soothing bubbling water and the occasional joyful splash of koi fish.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • All eight private treatment rooms offer a considerable amount of space and elegant décor featuring handsome dark wood complemented by dainty butterfly accents.
  • The two suites dedicated to couples treatments are particularly impressive, each with its own sitting area, changing room and restroom, an enviable back garden area with a canopied marble bathtub, an outdoor shower, and a cabana for lounging post-treatment.
  • As for the spa’s most impressive option for couples, you would be hard pressed to find a treatment as decadent as the 150-minute Luxury Champagne Treatment. Among other things, the entire body is doused in champagne.
  • The aromatherapy steam room changes scents daily (think invigorating lemongrass and cooling tea tree) for a unique and relaxing experience each time you visit.
Things to Know
  • Complimentary group wellness sessions are offered daily, but for a private consultation, you’ll have to pay extra.
  • In addition to the 24-hour fitness center, you can enjoy fitness classes, personal training sessions, a yoga studio and bike rentals.
  • Known around the world for its Bloody Mary, The St. Regis even offers a signature body ritual based around the popular libation concluding with a vermouth and mineral salt bath.
The Treatments
  • The most popular treatment at Iridium Spa is the Balinese massage — the long kneading strokes combined with acupressure and skin-rolling techniques provide deep renewal, especially after a long flight.
  • For additional local flavor, try the Lulur Experience of Indonesia, which includes a body exfoliation using a scrub of sandalwood, turmeric, ground rice and nuts, followed by application of a hydrating yogurt-based emulsion and a luxurious flower bath.
  • Perhaps one of the most unique options on the spa menu is the Signature Bloody Mary-inspired ritual. Beginning with a body reviver made from tomato, pineapple and wasabi, and followed by a vodka clay wrap and a detoxifying massage, the treatment leaves guests feeling reenergized.
The Facilities
  • The Bali spa has a beauty salon not far from the waiting area and it is equipped with a deluxe manicure and pedicure chair, a wash and blow-dry area, and a facial room.
  • In the garden, the beautiful Aqua Vitale saltwater pool offers jet water massage to improve circulation and relax the body.
  • The Finnish sauna helps induce some serious sweat while also allowing for some relaxing alone time.
  • The resort’s fitness center — complete with Life Fitness equipment and a separate yoga room — is also located on the spa premises and is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
