The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona

Barcelona's sleek, modern respite
VERIFIED LUXURY
Tucked away in the basement of the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, you will stumble on a sleek, modern spa. Despite its location in a high-end, trendy neighborhood in the city center, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona provides a quiet and soothing respite from the bustling Passeig de Gràcia outside.

Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola helped create the ambience by using colors such as black and white, and mixing materials such as wood and malachite. The common areas are dark and atmospheric: the spa-only lap pool backlit with a deep green, the steam room with tiled loungers and the relaxation room’s tan spa beds invite you to sink deeper into relaxation.

The spa offers eight treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, two Thai suites, a lap pool, a hammam and a range of treatments and services from top-name experts to cosset your mind and body from head to toe.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• Therapists trained by Linda Meredith, a 20-year veteran and world-renowned expert in the facial field, use her techniques to assess your skin and choose a custom combination of her branded products that are tailored to you.

• Mandarin Oriental’s signature spa therapies were crafted through consultations with specialists in traditional Chinese medicine and masters of aromatherapy. Treatments combine hands-on bodywork with the therapeutic benefits of custom-blended essential oils.

• All Signature Treatments and Journeys begin with a relaxing foot ritual, a symbol of you leaving the temporal world behind as you begin your spa experience.

• Some treatments utilize Mandarin Oriental’s signature product line developed specifically for the hotel by world-renowned brand Aromatherapy Associates. The natural oils and body scrubs are all paraben free.
