Spa and Wellness Centre at Four Seasons Hotel Doha

A luxurious city escape

With a perfect storm of beach, pool and spa facilities, the spacious Spa and Wellness Centre at Four Seasons Hotel Doha remains a stalwart in Qatar’s crowded luxury spa scene.

The three-story complex houses not just 11 treatment rooms (three of them equipped for couples treatments), but also squash and tennis courts, a hydrotherapy pool, male and female beauty and hair salons and a café serving healthy meals and smoothies.

The only Doha spa with a full hydrotherapy lounge, the Spa and Wellness Centre houses a variety of pools and showers, heated stone beds, a laconium thermal suite, a relaxing color therapy room and a bracing ice room.

The outdoor space is home to three palm-fringed, grotto-style pools and two family friendly pools with slides. Just steps away is the private white sand beach. There is no shortage of spots for waterside fun or just an afternoon of relaxation lazing in the cabanas.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The dedicated and soothing hydrotherapy facilities includes a massaging pool with underwater jets and overhead fountains, as well as cold and hot plunge pools.
  • With dozens of massages, facials and other services for men and women, there is something to suit all moods.
  • The spa regularly hosts a roster of visiting international practitioners with specialties ranging from reiki to relaxation.
  • The Apres Spa Café is the perfect place for a healthy snack or a coffee around your treatment. You can build your own salad or order the Norwegian roasted salmon for something heartier.
  • The staff make this one of the most beloved spas in Qatar – always ready with a bottle of cold water, pieces of fresh fruit or a spray to clean your sunglasses.
Things to Know

  • With a kid-friendly beach and pool area, this is a very popular family spot, especially during peak holiday periods and on weekends—so factor this in if it’s solitude you crave.

  • The center has a separate entrance and valet parking area from the hotel’s main lobby.
  • As with all spas in Qatar, there are separate male and female relaxation areas.

The Treatments

  • The Desert Signature uses natural plant oils and essences to increase circulation and to relieve both mental and physical tension.
  • The AMRA hot stone massage takes this spa staple to new heights by using 24 carat gold covered stones. Said to ease tension from within, it’s pure luxury.
  • For those needing a skincare boost, the Jet Peel Facial is a non-invasive procedure using hydradermabrasion to remove dead skin cells and calls on special infusions to promote collagen growth.
  • The Men’s Body Ritual consists of an exfoliation using volcanic rock and salt from the Dead Sea as well as a full body massage for ultimate relaxation.
  • An additional menu of seasonal treatments changes with the calendar. The 150-minute Winter Magic treatment, for example, uses a hot stone massage and deep exfoliation to ward off the chill.

The Facilities

  • The fully equipped gym is a spot to work out jet lag or a long day. The lineup of in-house fitness classes, ranging from Pilates to Aqua Spin, can get you back on track, too.
  • You can improve your tennis game on the hotel’s outdoor court, which is also home to a coach who can be booked for private classes.
  • Combining warm water with smooth stone pebbles to stimulate thousands of nerve endings in your feet, the dedicated Reflexology Foot Bath in the indoor pool area may be a shock to the system, but worth a visit.
  • The Laconium Suite is essentially a lower-heat sauna. A 20-minute session can do wonders for relaxation and stress relief.
