Guerlain Wellness Spa at Regent Santa Monica Beach is like a temple to the Parisian brand, which has been making perfumes, cosmetics and skin care since 1828. It looks more like a chic Beverly Hills boutique than a spa shop with white stone tables and gold shelves showcasing museum-like displays of Guerlain products and fresh orchids.

But there’s more on offer than artfully made glass perfume bottles — the 10,000-square-foot facility is Guerlain’s first spa on the West Coast. The 12-treatment-room spa provides massages, body treatments, facials, makeup applications and consultations for customized skincare and fragrances.

And Guerlain adds its touch to all parts of the spa experience, from check-in, where you receive a hot towel scented with the fresh-smelling Eau de Coton, to the white terrycloth robes embroidered with a large golden bee (the brand’s emblem), to the Eau Impériale shampoo, conditioner and shower gel tucked into the white marble showers in the locker room.

The Santa Monica spa offers some exclusive services, including Skin Perfection, a fusion of Guerlain knowledge and the HydraFacial, a machine that deeply cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates. Your skin will feel squeaky-clean and supple afterward.
Make time after your treatment to unwind in Le Clos, one of three lounges. The bright, spacious coed space lends itself to lingering with a group over cookies and cakes and glasses of lemonade or champagne.
Get personalized skin attention with the Tailor-Made Treatment. After accessing our needs, an aesthetician incorporated facial massage and a mix of products and techniques that left our skin hydrated and glowing.
Plan to visit the sauna, steam room and hot tub before settling into the white boucle curved loungers in the tranquil relaxation room to await your treatment.
Peruse the beautiful spa boutique for Guerlain’s fragrances, skincare products and makeup. For a special gift or souvenir, the L’Art & La Matière fragrance collection lets you choose a scent, the bottle’s cord and seal, and an engraving.

The Treatments

The 120-minute Crystal Vibes — another service only available at the Los Angeles spa — harnesses the power of crystals. Lie on a mattress filled with labradorite (a stone that supposedly enhances intuition, provides protection and fosters creativity), enjoy a facial massage and experience a crystal sound bath.
If you are looking to get toned, try the Solar Shape. The pre- or post-sun treatment features dry brushing, moisturizing honey-based products to soothe and then radio frequencies to sculpt the body.
Using Eau de Cologne Impériale, the luxury spa’s Imperial Relaxing Massage boosts circulation and oxygenation and leaves you feeling loose and calm.
The Energy of Tianzi is a 60-minute massage that uses music and scent to transport you to Yunnan, China’s Tianzi Nature Reserve and its many species of orchids — the botanical is the basis for Guerlain’s premium skincare line.
