VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star

Recommended

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills will cater to your every whim, not only letting you choose the type of massage you’d like but where you’d like to have it. In your suite? In one of the outdoor cabanas? Word is that celebrities love the all-over body polishes. The traditional Turkish scrub is applied in two steps: For the first, a mix of thermal salts and minerals are rubbed into clean skin. Then comes the loofah, which leaves no dead skin cell behind. Exclusive to the spa is the Four Seasons Swe-Thai, a combination of Swedish and Thai massage that involves yogic stretching, pressure point stimulation and deep tissue massage — it’s the perfect massage after a workout.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- The Forbes Travel Guide spa offers a variety of treatments, including massages, wraps, facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing.
- However, our favorite massage here is the California Cabana. It’s a 60-minute treatment that’s performed poolside in one of the private cabanas, and since you’re in sunny California, it feels just right.
- The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills offers a luxurious couples massage. If you opt for this side-by-side private treatment, you and your sweetheart can choose to have a classic, full-body Swedish, deep-tissue or aromatherapy massage.
- If your spa-going man is looking to extend his experience, Four Seasons spa offers a gentleman’s facial that is designed to address skin sensitivity and razor burn, while also clearing his pores. The whole things ends with, of course, a relaxing massage.
- Hotel guests can indulge a little more by requesting an in-room appointment for a massage, manicure or pedicure. We can’t think of a better way to cap off your day in Beverly Hills.
Things to Know
- Pick up the phone to book your pampering appointment with ease.
- Open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., the last treatment appointment slot is at 9 p.m.
- Body treatments are available for guests 18 and older, while skin treatments are available for guests 16 and above.

The Treatments
- The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles offers a number of specialty massages. If you’re in need of a little acupressure, go for the Ku Nye, a massage that uses Tibetan techniques of acupressure, cupping and kneading.
- If you need to soothe post-workout muscles, the yoga-like Swe-Thai massage is just right.
- Raindrop Aromatherapy focuses on the alignment of the spine, while stone therapy utilizes warm and cool stones to relieve muscle tension.
- There’s even a little something for those suffering with jet lag — the Punta Mita Tequila, which uses tequila and sage to improve circulation, aid digestion and relieve fatigue. Or perhaps try the Manipura to restore energy.
- Think your fatigue is just too much for one therapist to manage? Opt for the Four Seasons Synchronized massage that’s performed in harmony by two therapists.
