The Spa at Four Seasons New Orleans

A contemporary New Orleans sanctuary
VERIFIED LUXURY
Not far from the raucous streets of the French Quarter, The Spa at Four Seasons provides a tranquil sanctuary. Tucked away on the fifth floor of Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, the spa opened in 2022 covered in raw white oak, pale gray travertine and rattan, and artwork from New Orleans-based Nicole Charbonnet and native Southerner Allison Janae Hamilton dots the space.

Retreat to one of the eight treatment rooms (including a couple’s suite with a bathtub) for luxurious treatments from Omorovicza (a company that draws from Budapest’s famed mineral-rich waters) and Biologique Recherche (the spa is the first in the state to offer facials from the beloved French skincare brand).

And while the spa is a soothing oasis, it still embraces New Orleans’ bon vivant ethos. Locally inspired treatments like the Southern Rose and Southern Gentleman are paired with cocktails. The spa also plies you with snacks and sips — in the treatment waiting area, you’ll find healthy bites like seasoned chickpeas and sesame sticks along with citrus water. And when you head to the relaxation room, you can partake in prosecco or mix it with juices to make a mimosa. Bring your drink outside to the balcony and enjoy it while getting a glimpse of the Mississippi River.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The elaborate customized Biologique Recherche facial features dozens of different serums, including the cult favorite Lotion P50. The cooling, depuffing facial feels especially revitalizing after a humid day in the city or a night of excess in the quarter.
  • You will want to linger after your treatment at the New Orleans spa. Choose from the coed relaxation lounge, where you can tuck into a wooden-slatted nook and unwind on a plush cream chaise, or the adjoining terrace, where you can sit on a sofa or a high-backed rope chair and gaze at the riverfront.
  • A signature service, the Southern Rose offers fragrant full-body pampering. It starts with a dry-brush exfoliation, and then you receive a massage with locally sourced rose oil and a pressure point scalp massage. Afterward, you’re served a classic NOLA cocktail, a French 75.
  • If you need a therapeutic massage, opt for the Southern Gentleman. The tension-zapping treatment homes in on the neck, shoulders and back. Your feet also get treated to an exfoliation and pressure point massage using locally sourced cypress-scented oil. Cap it off with a date-infused Old-Fashioned.
  • As its name suggests, the Spa de Deux was made for couples. You’ll soak in a bath for two infused with essential oils, have a personalized body treatment customized and then a tandem massage. Afterward, you will share a bottle of champagne on the relaxation deck overlooking the river.

The Facilities

  • The bright locker rooms are well stocked with amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, combs, brushes, nail kits and nail polish remover pads.
  • Hotel guests can enhance their spa day with a swim, and the property also offers spa and cabana packages if you don’t plan to stay the night but want to use the pool. The curved 75-foot outdoor saltwater pool is the largest in a New Orleans hotel.
  • Come early for your appointment to use the sauna, eucalyptus steam room and cool mist.
  • Next to the spa, a gym designed by trainer to the stars Harley Pasternak is open 24 hours a day. It features strength-training and cardio equipment, including Peloton bikes.
