The Bridge House Spa

Romantic relaxation in Vermont
Appointments at the intimate Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Bridge House Spa are exclusively available for guests of Five-Star Twin Farms. Tucked quietly below The Pub, the spa is designed by architect Scott Cornelius and furnished with artwork by William Wegmen, known for his use of canine-inspired pictures, many with meditative poses.

The spa menu at this romantic hideaway was designed in collaboration with Arcania Apothocery of England and offers a small but custom-designed menu of massages, facials and body treatments that you won’t find anywhere else. All ingredients used are plant based and incorporate exotic herbs and essential oils, such as linden blossom, juniper and evening primrose.

With just three treatment rooms, and appointments often booked up months ahead, it’s good to know a fireside in-room massage is a well-kept secret among those in the know.
Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Just like everything else at the private, uber-luxurious Twin Farms resort, its Bridge House Spa is a sybaritic retreat that’s made even more special by its exclusivity.
  • The Bridge House Spa sources its products from some of the most exclusive manufacturers in the world.
  • This resort is designed to cater to whatever you want, whenever you want it. So if you like to follow up your spa treatments with a cup of herbal tea and some fresh fruit, just ask the friendly staff.
  • The spa offers a relaxing, intimate space with just two treatment rooms. Sitting between the two spaces, the Quiet Room allows you to enjoy a soothing cup of the Bridge House Spa’s signature Crimson herbal tea while reclining on one of two cozy chaises.
  • The interior is designed with a palette of charming, muted colors: soothing cream, blue and green tones blend in with the thick trees and plants surrounding the spa, promoting a sense of peace and tranquility.
Things to Know
  • You can come straight to The Bridge House Spa after a day full of activities because the facility has changing rooms with lockers to store your belongings and showers outfitted with Twin Farms’ signature Out of The Woods bath products.
  • High-quality stone and tile is used in the treatment rooms, which have a cave-like feel thanks to the lack of windows, though they are perhaps better lit than most caverns.
  • The treatment menu at The Bridge House Spa is designed exclusively for the hotel, meaning each service is unique.
The Treatments

  • Get a tailored-for-you facial with the Biologique Recherche Bespoke Journey. Employing products from the French skincare brand, the service includes exfoliation, hydration and special massage techniques to instantly lift your skin.
  • For something unique, try the Infrared Customized Massage. Taking place on a warming infrared mat originally designed by NASA, the massage harnesses infrared rays to reach the muscles and alleviate pain, reduce stress, help with sleep and bolster the immune system.
  • Opt for a spa treatment in your hotel room. During the Fireside Ritual, cozy up to a warm, crackling fire as you enjoy a heated massage. Then soak in a muscle-relaxing hot bath while sipping champagne.

The Facilities
  • Located in its own petite structure near the spa, the Japanese-style Furo bath is a serene spot for a soak before or after a treatment. There are separate men’s and women’s sides, or a unisex area where you can take a dip in waters heated to 104 degrees.
  • Plan a workout for before or after your spa service in the fully stocked gym, located adjacent to the spa. Since there are only 20 rooms and cottages at Twin Farms, chances are you’ll have it to yourself.
  • The changing rooms have lockers with hooks for your belongings, and pretty mosaic tiles in the showers that have an iridescent quality to them.
