If you want a more casual meal, head to Caprice Bar, which is adjacent to French restaurant Caprice. Sit at the marble-topped bar and peruse the seasonal menu. The "Comptoir Bar" section offers savory dishes, such as panini with Australian black truffle and Spanish ham, or Challans duck leg parmentier. For snacks that pair well with a glass of wine, check out the "Cheese Bar" portion of the menu. Choose from unpasteurized French wedges of goat cheese or Comté. Can't decide? Order "A Bit of Everything," an impressive sampler platter served on a huge slab of gnarled German wood covered with beautifully fragrant cheeses, which are all kept within the cheese cellar. Some of them are aged for more than four years.
And if you need a sweet, order the pear and caramel profiteroles with salted carmel ice cream or a lemon cheesecake with a mix of berries.
