It’s clear chef David Bouley aimed for comfort — not critical mass — when designing the layout of his Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star New York restaurant. The main dining room is spacious without feeling sparse. In fact, with its grand tables and plush seats, the overall aesthetic could even be described as cozy. The only spot where you might feel a bit impeded is the library, where seats along the east wall are tighter. But even then, you’ll have plenty of elbowroom, though in such close quarters you’ll certainly be privy to the dinner conversation transpiring next to you (and vice versa).
