Though Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Bouley does not boast a proper bar, you are more than welcome to linger in the eatery’s entrance lounge and order off the cocktail menu while waiting for your table. The space — much like the French restaurant’s main dining room — is an opulent treat for the senses. Delicate orchids line the windows, while throw pillows and a dusty blue east wall (embellished with white daisies) add much-needed pops of color to the otherwise dark room. Plushy brown loveseats provide a welcome respite where you can sip one of Bouley’s six signature cocktails while waiting for a table (we recommend the La Fraise — a concoction of sake and fresh strawberry — or the refreshing La Pomme, a twist on the classic apple martini). Likewise, should you want to enjoy your post-meal espresso in the New York restaurant's lounge, you’re more than welcome to do so.
