Warm days in NYC are so much fun, and to complement it all are the festivals which range from weekend street fairs to more elaborate events that the entire family can enjoy. Some festival to keep an eye out for:

Museum Mile: called NYC’s biggest block party, this festival shuts down Museum Mile (5th Avenue) and opens its doors to the public for free access to the best museums in town. From learn all about NYC’s history at the Museum of New York City, connect with Spanish Harlem and its culture in the Museo del Barrio, or get lost in the fabulous exhibits frequently on display at the world famous Guggenheim. Every year, one weekday in June (see website for specific date) from 6-9pm, rain or shine.

Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center: an almost 3-week celebration of music, dance, and other performances that welcomes the community to join in. Passes to join the dance floor vary in price, but whether on the dance floor or on the sidelines, fun is guaranteed.
