The Rooms
- The 25-story Shangri-La Wing has 673 rooms and opened in 1986; five years later a smaller second tower, the Krungthep Wing, with 129 rooms, debuted.

The Restaurants
- The Shangri-La has six eateries, two lounges and a bar. Angelini is well-known for its sophisticated setting and excellent Italian fare, such as spinach and goose liver risotto.
- Salathip serves gourmet versions of traditional Thai food (hot and sour tiger prawn soup with lemongrass), with a strong emphasis on presentation.
