Raffles The Palm Dubai

Unmatched grandeur on Palm Jumeirah
VERIFIED LUXURY

At Raffles The Palm Dubai, an architectural masterpiece complete with regal domes and stately columns, it feels as if you’ve time traveled from Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent to a magnificent palace in 18th-century Europe. Surrounded by intricate gold leaf designs and beautiful mirrors, a chandelier shimmers overhead with thousands of Swarovski crystals. The scene is further set by rose-colored Rosa Portogallo marble columns, plush red velvet couches and exquisite carpets. Dressed in red and gold drapery, arched windows offer views of the resort’s swimming pool and manicured lawns and fountains that were inspired by the Gardens of Versailles.

While the Renaissance- and Baroque-style architecture and design evoke a sense of classic grandeur, the spacious rooms and suites at Raffles The Palm Dubai provide a host of modern comforts and conveniences. With six world-class restaurants and bars to choose from, there are flavors for everyone. Because of the lavish Cinq Mondes Spa, indoor swimming pool and 1,600-foot private beach, there are a number of ways to relax as well.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Raffles The Palm is a design lover’s dream with a goal for perfection that’s obvious in every detail. A custom handcrafted white and 24-carat gold-leaf Blüthner Supreme Edition Louis XIV grand piano stands in the lobby lounge Blüthner Hall. Hand-woven damask silk tapestries and more than 6,000 Swarovski-studded chandeliers, crafted in Venice, are found around the Dubai hotel. Seventy thousand pieces of bespoke handcrafted Italian furniture by Francesco Molon are maintained by in-house furniture master Andrea Fortuna.
  • The curated art collection gracing the corridors at Raffles The Palm is impressive, with works depicting idyllic and pastoral scenes by American painter William Thomas Kinkade III and surrealistic, poetic imagery by French multidisciplinary artist Bernard Louedin. Handcrafted by an Armenian artist, an exact replica of one of the original 12 tapestries of The Hunts of Maximilian (Les Chasses de Maximilien) housed at Paris’ Louvre Museum, is found at the hotel’s ballroom, Salon King Maximilian.
  • Designed with plush platinum or gold furnishings, custom handmade Francesco Molon furniture, and silver and gold-leaf details, the hotel’s spacious rooms and suites — among the largest on Palm Jumeirah — afford balcony and terrace views of the gulf or landscaped gardens. Units also come with walk-in closets, writing desks and lounge areas, ensuring a comfortable stay. Marble bathrooms have freestanding bathtubs and separate showers.
  • At the spa, choose from an extensive range of facial and body treatments by French brand Cinq Mondes. Services are inspired by the wellness rituals of cultures around the world, including Indian ayurveda practices, Balinese massages and Moroccan hammams.
  • One of the additional perks of staying in a club room, suite or villa is exclusive access to the Club Lounge, a sophisticated and modern dining venue with buffet-style dining at breakfast, lunch and aperitivo. The terrace offers spectacular views over Palm Jumeirah and is the perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea or a sundowner. The lounge also has prompt private check-in and check-out services.

The Restaurants

  • Afternoon tea at the luxury hotel's stately Blüthner Hall is an elaborate affair with foie gras mousse sandwiches, prawn cocktail rolls, scones with clotted cream, pistachio and raspberry tarts and a wide variety of teas, from chocolate- and vanilla-flavored options to fruity blends, while classical music by the resident pianist fills the air.
  • At Piatti By The Beach, find yourself transported to a seaside village in Southern Italy with a seafood-rich menu by renowned chef Izu Ani. Italian specialties include ravioli with prawns, pistachio and pesto, linguine with lobster, and grilled octopus with Sicilian eggplants caponata. Take your pick from the fresh seafood counter and ask to have it cooked your way. Ask for a table on the terrace for gorgeous views of the beach while you dine.
  • For a contemporary take on Japanese cuisine, head to Matagi, where sleek dark interiors and textural design elements work to create a loungey vibe. Feast on sushi and sashimi, torched scallop with ginger ponzu, crispy Japanese squid, king crab gyoza and wagyu kushiyaki while sipping on sake and orange zest oil-packed signature cocktails.
  • For world-class live entertainment, from soul classics to contemporary R&B, don’t miss an evening at Sola Jazz Lounge. You’ll not only find music from Tuesdays to Saturdays by established and emerging artists, but you’ll also get a menu of cocktails and a stellar selection of premium Cuban and Dominican cigars.
