Conrad Orlando

An upscale oasis bordering Disney World
VERIFIED LUXURY

Consider this a luxurious disruptor within the Orlando resort space. Tucked within the $1.5 billion, 1,100-acre Evermore Orlando Resort — which will inevitably be home to other lodging options spanning intimate villas to mega-home rentals — the 433-room Conrad Orlando opened in January 2024.

The property promises a true beach experience, with a 17 million-gallon, aqua-hued lagoon for kayaking, swimming and paddleboarding as its amenity allure. Equally as dazzling are two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses. For kids, there’s a water slide, a rope swing, a family-friendly food hall and more.

Inside, the hotel has the makings of a contemporary family destination, draped in floor-to-ceiling windows and common spaces layered in various shades of blue. Only adding to that luxe yet friendly allure is the fact the new property sits less than three miles from Walt Disney World Resort.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Whereas other area resorts can feel piled on one another, the Orlando hotel is bordered by an extensive nature reserve to the east. It provides for a lovely privacy buffer, particularly after navigating the masses at Disney World.
  • Its onsite Conrad Spa is inspired by Florida nature, spanning its lush flora to every-shade-of-blue natural springs. In the spirit of the beachy lagoon outside, its Ocean Essence Ritual relaxes with various seaweed-infused scrubs and treatments along the way.
  • Beyond the massive lagoon, there is a smaller pool. If you don’t want to navigate the first-come, first-served nature of lounge chairs, book a cabana ahead of time that can seat up to six.
  • Room options are often narrowed down by view, encompassing “nature” (the adjacent reserve), pool or lagoon. While the latter will continually evolve into a hot spot, the noise does die down come evening for light sleepers.
  • The property has a dedicated shuttle service that will take guests to and from Disney World. It runs hourly and coincides with the park schedule.

The Restaurants

  • Ceiba is the luxury hotel’s rooftop oasis with a Mexican flair. On a clear evening, you can see the nearby theme parks’ fireworks show as if you have a front-row seat. For larger groups, its Para Compartir (shareables menu) includes a memorable and heaping braised short rib served with a variety of mole sauces.
  • Southern Italian cuisine is on full display — as are the lagoon views — at Sophia’s Trattoria. Favorites include wood-fired pizzas spanning a traditional margherita to an innovative duck confit layered pie that’s doused in hot honey.
  • Consider the Papaya Club a tiki lounge that’s optimized for relaxed dining. The dishes are generally light and nicely complement a pool or sun-soaked day. Selections include lettuce wraps, a lime-infused yellowfin tuna tartare and, when hunger truly beckons, a 24-ounce rib eye with umami butter.
