Though Charlotte is a major city — especially one of the biggest in the Southeast — the upscale spa options are few before Thankfully, when Forbes Travel Guide  The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte debuted in 2009, it also introduced the Queen City to The Spa & Wellness Center.

The modern décor and luxurious amenities set the tone for the Forbes Travel Guide spa’s extensive menu of lavish services, which utilize some of the property’s extraordinary features such as the organic honey harvested from The Ritz’s onsite beehives. One of the spa’s biggest attractions is its swimming pool, which when visited in the evening, boasts one of the most magical, expansive views of Uptown Charlotte.
Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The Spa & Wellness Center features clean lines and sleek detailing in both the guest suites and lounge areas.
  • Though modern and cool, the lounge areas are truly warm and inviting. This feat is achieved not only through the gracious hospitality of the spa staff, but also the gentle lighting, soft music, and delightful scents pouring throughout the 13,000-square-foot space.
  • The Spa & Wellness Center offers three couples treatments, which can be had in the spacious couples suite.
  • While The Spa & Wellness Center features several beauty and skincare lines in its retail shop including Archipelago, MoroccanOil, and Me! Bath, spa aestheticians utilize Eminence Organic Skin Care in many of its treatments.
  • Aestheticians like to incorporate the property’s harvested honey into their treatments, such as the Honey Detox and Chocolate Truffle (a 110-minute luxurious body treatment that includes exfoliation and a body wrap).
Things to Know
  • The best way to reserve an appointment is to call the hotel directly. From there, an operator will put you through to the spa where you can make a reservation.

  • If you’re planning on experiencing the spa with a group of people, the cancelation policy differs — you must cancel at least four weeks in advance.
