Surrenne Belgravia

A next-level wellness destination in the heart of London
VERIFIED LUXURY
Three floors beneath The Emory, Surrenne is a sprawling sanctuary for both cutting-edge medical science and indulgently pampering rituals. The sense of scale impresses instantly. Set across four floors designed by interior architect Rémi Tessier, the 21,527-square-foot space is redefining urban wellness for guests of The Emory, its sister hotel The Berkeley and its members.

The spa’s philosophy is grounded in three principles: energy, serenity and clarity, with a concept that combines longevity doctors, biohacking technologies, medical wellness, spa treatments and fitness. There’s everything from a Japanese-inspired hydrogen bath and four-hand massages to hammam therapies and full-body wet room treatments.

Every program and treatment at Surrenne draws on the expertise of leaders in their fields, including fitness pioneer Tracy Anderson, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Lara Devgan and nutritionist Rose Ferguson, who orchestrated the menu at Surrenne Café. Though the Temperley London silk robes are meant to be enjoyed during visits, a curated retail collection offers skin tech, athleisure and Espelma Murano glass candles.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The steam room layers 100% humidity with rotating aromatic cycles, from calming jasmine to invigorating eucalyptus. The result is relaxed muscles, soothed joints and purified skin.
  • Across the London spa, AI-generated soundscapes, soft copper lighting and design with circadian rhythm in mind all serve to enhance relaxation. Art is an Emory theme that continues here with Damien Hirst pieces dotted around.
  • The treatment menu is vast and it includes a facial from Stella McCartney’s sustainable skincare line as well as the I Need It All massage, a tailor-made 60- or 90-minute treatment curated to the guests’ specific needs, incorporating massage techniques from different traditions.
  • After drifting out of your service, head to Surrenne’s café for an impressive, seasonal menu of dishes and drinks. The Surrenne Sunshine smoothie (strawberries, blueberries, oats, coconut milk, maca, collagen and protein) is a resounding favorite here.
  • In keeping with the spa’s guiding principles, the relaxation area offers three delicious herbal teas to suit your mood: energy, serenity and clarity.

The Facilities

  • A sliding bubble door reveals the saltwater pool, which cleverly benefits from a slither of natural light from a skylight above. The pool features underwater speakers and is framed by cabana-style daybeds. Poolside treatments include LED facials and compression therapy, with staff also on hand to serve juices or champagne.
  • There is a dedicated studio that hosts classes such as Pilates, one-on-one reformer training, barre and Tabata, with options for self-guided sessions via iPad that can connect to a full-wall screen.
  • A full floor is dedicated to The Tracy Anderson Method’s first outpost beyond the U.S., with body-sculpting classes on offer to members and hotel guests. The studio even incorporates the Super G Floor that the master trainer devised herself. This bouncy subfloor underneath a wooden surface minimizes impact on joints when performing the exercises.
  • The thermal suite features a Finnish sauna, snow shower and striking steam room, all of which are very photogenic. The gym, open 24/7 to guests, is outfitted with Watson bespoke weights and red-light tech for recovery.
  • Seven treatment rooms are both luxurious and stylish. Some have domed ceilings and terrazzo details, while others feel like stepping into the future, with their hyperbaric oxygen chambers and other state-of-the-art longevity tech. The hammam boasts a heated marble bed, while the couples’ Magma treatment room has a private bathtub, circadian rhythm lighting and an AI soundscape that ensures guests never hear the same sounds twice.
