Tierra Santa Healing House

Miami’s South American-inspired oasis
VERIFIED LUXURY
Miami's first South American-influenced spa, Tierra Santa Healing House at Faena Hotel Miami Beach melds together a unique combination of South America's warm hospitality and age-old healing traditions along with modern spa technology dedicated to the art of well being.

Tierra Santa (which is Spanish for "holy land") is designed to be a sanctuary, acting as a sort of spiritual center for the hotel. The Miami spa was inspired by Alan Faena's picturesque beach house in the rustic-chic village of Punta del Este on the Uruguayan coast.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• The majestic 22,000-square-foot, waterfront spa occupies the entire third floor of the Faena Hotel Miami Beach and offers direct pool and beach access as well as outdoor terraces with unparalleled views of the glistening Atlantic Ocean.

• Décor is colorful yet understated designed with nature in mind. As you enter the spa, you'll notice a larger-than-life bouquet of roses at the reception desk.

• The spa also features paper art installations from Manuel Ameztoy, and its walls display stunning floral murals by artist Juan Gatti, whose work you'll also see throughout the entire hotel.

• Treatments employ Tierra Santa’s own collection of products, drawn from South American healing traditions with ingredients ethically sourced from that region, such as Amazonian white clay, muds from the rainforest and maca.

• The Tierra Santa experience begins with a journey through the extensive wet spa area, where you are greeted with a sliver of clay-colored Tierra Santa soap cut from a huge block and then guided by therapists through a waterfall of powerful showers.
Things to Know
• One of the main focal points at this Miami spa is a playful, titanic-sized chandelier made of a kaleidoscope of fishing lures.

• Be sure to stop by the luxury spa's carefully curated boutique, where you can pick up Tierra Santa’s signature lotions and oils and relive the bliss at home. You’ll also find gifts from South America and Carolina K. dresses here.

• Rossano Ferretti Salon at Tierra Santa offers a range of beauty and hair services as well.
The Treatments
• One-of-a-kind spa offerings combine ancient South American healing rituals, indigenous ingredients and the latest anti-aging technologies, including shaman-developed body treatments, beauty services, holistic healing and acupuncture, sound and color therapy, and advanced rejuvenating facials.

• If you need some healing, ask for the Tree of Life treatment with spa therapist Claudia, designed to balance the chakras using sound therapy, hot stones and massage.

• To release tension, order up the Sacred Warrior body massage that uses warmed herbal poultices and lapis lazuli from Chile or the Palo Santo and Sound bowls service combined with homeopathic infusions.

• For ultimate relaxation, the Masaje con Flor Blanca (“massage with white flower”) uses lymphatic drainage techniques with oil extracted from the orange blossom, an Old World remedy to induce bliss and calm the body.
The Facilities
• After the treatment, come back to the wet spa for a final cleansing. The ice parlor helps cool down the body post-heat therapies.

• In the tepidarium, warm up on heated stone beds. An herbal steam room, the hottest facility in the spa, provides aromatherapy to promote further detoxing.

• De-stress in the impressive double-height hammam (the largest in Miami); it’s the perfect spot for contemplation and relaxation.

• If you’re looking to get in a workout, the Miami spa features a state-of-art gym and 1,000-square-foot movement studio, plus daily outdoor fitness classes.
