Our Inspector's Highlights
• The Grand Lakes spa has its own Spa Café, where you can enjoy a healthy breakfast, lunch or snacks during your visit. You’ll have plenty of options, but we recommend trying the vitale flat bread with prosciutto, semi-dried tomato, asiago cheese and herbs, or the blue crab salad with crab and asparagus, herb cheese and champagne vinaigrette.

• Adults aren’t the only ones who can enjoy being pampered at this family-friendly retreat. Kids and young adults aged 2 to 17 are invited to visit the spa and enjoy one of the four treatments on the Kids and Teen Spa menu.

• A no cell phone policy in place to respect the comfort of your fellow guests and to help create a calm, peaceful ambience free of everyday distractions, it’s also there to help ensure you have plenty of time to focus on the experience and to enjoy the facilities without checking your voicemail, sending a quick text message or catching up on emails.
Things to Know
• Spa Café is open Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and stays open one hour later on Fridays and Saturdays.

• Kids aged 5 to 12 years old can also go to The Ritz Kids Club while you enjoy your spa visit. Activities here include splashing around in the pool with toys, running relay races, participating in video game challenges, going for sunset bike rides and even doing some pastry decorating.

• Note that you must accompany your kids for the whole treatment, and that only kids aged 16 and up are given access to the spa’s pool and recreation facilities.

• Everything from street clothes to formal wear are perfectly acceptable attire. Once you arrive, you’ll be given a robe and a pair of slippers to change into, and can stow your clothing and personal items in one of the lockers conveniently provided to all guests.

• Consider leaving your designer handbags or expensive jewelry in your guest room or at home, however, since the staff asks not to store valuables anywhere on the premises.
