Before your treatment begins at the St. Lucia spa, soak your feet in a handmade stone basin while a therapist massages your soles with warm, smooth pebbles collected from nearby trails. It’s a grounding, almost ceremonial start to the experience.
The housemade body scrubs and oils use Saint Lucian cocoa, bay leaf and nutmeg, which are so aromatic you might catch their scent as you walk down the path toward the spa. Some ingredients are grown right on Ladera’s grounds.
After a session, you’re invited to linger in a tucked-away garden terrace with just a handful of daybeds and views through the palms. A mug of lemongrass or soursop tea is served with coconut biscuits. You also can use the facilities, including the dry and infrared sauna, steam room, power showers and volcanic mineral vitality pool.

The Treatments

Warm, smooth basalt stones are used in slow strokes that echo the island’s primal energy in the volcanic stone massage. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve absorbed the Pitons’ stillness straight into your bones.
A trio of facials featuring renowned ESPA products provides results-driven relaxation. Each experience begins with a tech-forward skin analysis to help talented aestheticians determine the best course of action, be it a fine-line-reducing, age-defying facial or a cleansing inner beauty facial.
During the 75-minute Lévé Volcanic Scrub & Wrap, you’ll first receive a full-body exfoliation. Then the aesthetician paints on a mineral-rich sulfur mud, an island specialty. As it dries, you will undergo further pampering with a facial pressure point massage and a scalp rub.
Those who like a little bit of everything should go for the 90-minute Bamboo Fusion Massage. The aptly named treatment combines warm volcanic stones, bamboo massage techniques, Thai stretches and deep tissue massage to create the ultimate sore-muscle soother.
