Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach

The Gold Coast's new waterfront haven
VERIFIED LUXURY

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is the newest luxury hotel to open along the city’s North Beach. The impressive 24-story, 290-room all-suite condo resort towering above the exclusive oceanfront stretch of A1A marks the hotel brand’s second South Florida location (joining Conrad Miami) and its first stateside beachfront property.

The nautical-themed oceanside oasis is ideally situated on Florida’s Gold Coast, steps from the beach between famed Sunrise and Las Olas boulevards and near the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades cruise terminal.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Designed by the late Michael Graves — renowned for his iconic postmodern architecture — with interiors by A++, the resort was inspired by Fort Lauderdale’s yacht culture and high-end cruise lines.
  • Touches of blue and taupe found throughout the lobby resemble the water and sand, while Italian marble, Spanish leather, wood elements and textured walls bring in modernity. The attached, well-stocked bar lounge area and library add a sophisticated Old World vibe.
  • The luxury resort welcomes families with options for little ones found throughout, including children’s dining menus and a marine-inspired kids club called Go H20! By Funky Fish.
  • With 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and an equally large plot of oceanfront outdoor space, Conrad has a dedicated meeting concierge and will gladly accommodate business conferences and special celebrations alike.
  • The property’s crown jewel is the 20,000-square-foot, ocean-facing Sky Deck on the sixth floor, home to the heated pool, two private poolside cabanas, a Jacuzzi, a fire pit, sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Spinnaker Pool Grill.

Things to Know

  • A daily resort fee includes two beach chairs and an umbrella, a two-hour bike rental and a spa discount.
  • Prior to arrival, you can request pillow preferences, bathroom amenities (choose from Refinery, Shanghai Tang or Temple Spa) and minibar specialties (such as nut-free treats).
  • The Conrad features several in-suite dining options. Have the fixings for a gourmet meal delivered or request a member of the culinary team to prepare a private lavish dinner.
  • While there’s no food or drink service on the beach (as per a Fort Lauderdale beach ordinance), you can arrange for custom beach picnic baskets from Cornucopia.

The Rooms

  • The Fort Lauderdale hotel offers spacious studios starting from 480 square feet to expansive three-bedroom suites at 1,700 square feet with 300-square-foot furnished terraces.
  • Indulgent suite amenities include galley kitchens equipped with Wolf touch-screen stove tops, sumptuous Egyptian cotton bedding, American walnut wood floors and Spanish leather furnishings.
  • All units come with opulent Italian marble bathrooms featuring separate deep-soaking tubs and rainfall showers.
  • One-, two- and three-bedroom suites with intracoastal and ocean views offer unrivaled sunrise and sunset vistas from a furnished terrace. For those who prefer to step onto the pool patio, Sky Deck Access suites and duplexes allow walk-on access from a furnished lanai.
  • Open-plan layouts feature pullout leather sofas to accommodate families and entertaining. Mobility and hearing-accessible suites with roll-in shower plus visual alarms are also available.

The Restaurants

  • Just off the lobby is where you’ll find Atlas Cocktail Lounge against a stunning blue glass map drop. Dive into a steep list of inventive 1920s-inspired libations, wines, scotch and whiskeys, and mingle while nibbling on duck confit tostada, cheese and charcuterie and pizzettas.
  • Spinnaker Pool Grill serves up Mediterranean light bites such as avocado smash, mixed crudo plates and heirloom tomatoes with local burrata, and refreshing cocktails like the dragon fruit mojito and ginger margarita.
  • Cornucopia Gourmet Market provides a choice of artisanal meals like flatbreads, frittatas, pastries from local favorite Zak the Baker, wood-fired pizzas and housemade gelato.
  • Savor Japanese-Korean fusion at Takato, which means "in a state of extreme happiness" in Japanese. Helmed by local celebrity chef Taek "Taka" Lee (previously of Zuma and Monkitail), the restaurant serves sharable small plates and entrees (don't miss the sushi). The food is accompanied by handcrafted cocktails, sake and vegan wine.
