Conrad Hong Kong

Classic luxury in the heart of the city
VERIFIED LUXURY
In Chinese culture, the color gold symbolizes prosperity and happiness, and it seems that Conrad Hong Kong wanted to share the wealth when it added gold to the color scheme in its recently refurbished rooms. Warm wood furnishings and Asian artwork complete the finishing touches to the gold-inflected interior of the rooms, which run from floor 40 to 61 of a Pacific Place tower.

Though the hotel is in the middle of the city, it could pass for a country retreat, thanks to an outdoor pool, massage suites, a steam room, a solarium and a health club. The dining, another obsession of Chinese culture, at Conrad Hong Kong is superb as well.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Conrad Hong Kong is close to all of the nearby hot spots including the tram, bus, railway and ferry. You can even walk to Pacific Place's designer shops, restaurants, businesses and entertainment.
  • For a memorable meal at Conrad Hong Kong we’d suggest a reservation at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel's Golden Leaf where you’ll order the steamed crab-claw with minced ginger, the hot and sour piquant soup with seafood and the sautéed king prawns with Hawthorn herbs in chili sauce.
  • Their spacious guest rooms and suites offer high-speed wireless internet, a media center, mini bar, and marble bathrooms with a deep-soaking tub. Enjoy views of Victoria Harbour, mountains, the city skyline or Victoria Peak out  of every picture window.

The Rooms
  • Whether it is the standard room or the suite on the executive floor, rooms at Conrad Hong Kong are spacious and homey. At 450 square feet, regular rooms at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel include a double-door closet, all-marble bathroom with a double sink, separate shower and bath (with a rubber ducky), as well as a separate room for the toilet.
  • We liked the wicker hamper under the bathroom counter — a simple solution to tidying up the inevitable pile of post-shower towels. The wall of windows either gives you a view of the nearby peak or harbor.
  • Conrad Hong Kong’s standard rooms run around HK$5,000 a night. If you want to enjoy the perks of staying on the executive floor at the hotel, which includes use of the executive lounge where you’ll find breakfast, snacks and evening cocktails, prepare to spend about HK$5,700. One and two bedroom suites range from HK$7,000 to HK$41,000
