Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Designed with exclusivity in mind by influential architect Terry Farrell, the Shenzhen hotel is home to stunning panoramas that extend as far as the glittering cosmopolis of Hong Kong. The sky lobby on the 96th floor ensures a seamless personal check-in experience.
  • Hong Kong-based interior design firm CCD/Cheng Chung Design envisioned the glamorous interiors, which are filled with light. Radiant details range from crystal chandeliers and fixtures to floor-to-ceiling windows and exposed-steel accents that scatter light throughout the property.
  • Expanding across 7,535 square feet, Iridium Spa boasts a full-service menu of signature services that reflect local healing traditions and ingredients and an infinity pool that appears to cascade over the skyline.
  • The stay offers much in the way of culinary mastery, with six diverse dining outlets. Head to Social for all-day dining in a contemporary atmosphere, Elba for Venetian-inspired decor and a matching menu, or sit down for the brand’s beloved high tea in the Drawing Room, where more than 40 types of premium tea and classical music await.
  • When it comes time for a libation, slide into The St. Regis Bar to try the Yan Mary, a Bloody Mary variation inspired by Shenzhen’s fishing and salt production history. And just before sunset, head up to the rooftop to sample one of the 200 vintages at Decanter or relax over a nip at MALT whisky and seafood bar, which is hidden away within Decanter.

Things to Know

  • St. Regis is synonymous with Old World luxury, so naturally, the brand’s signature, 24-hour butler service has become a calling card. Let a professionally trained butler handle everything from unpacking your suitcase to ironing clothes, drawing a bath or serving a tasty late-night treat.
  • Draped in warm taupe hues with pops of turquoise, burgundy, green or yellow, the rooms and suites come equipped with high-end upgrades and thoughtful touches to make the space feel like an ultra-luxurious home.
  • Feather-soft bedding, Bang & Olufsen sound systems, a top-of-the-line room control system and a 46-inch plasma television are some of the comforts you will enjoy. Upgrade to the 969-square-foot Caroline Astor Suite (named after the mother of St. Regis’ founder), and you’ll even find a high-powered telescope to experience the breathtaking views in fine detail.
  • In terms of size, there’s plenty of room to stretch out at the luxury hotel, with accommodations starting from 366 square feet and stretching up to 3,497 square feet, should you book the enchanting Presidential Suite on the 90th floor. The Duplex Suites are exquisite, featuring a separate living room, dining area and two bathrooms.
