Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba

A waterfront Tokyo getaway
VERIFIED LUXURY

You’ll feel like you’ve escaped to a beach destination at Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba. Although it’s close to central Tokyo, the property sits on the man-made island of Odaiba, a bayside locale that is a hub of entertainment and event spaces.

An enormous hotel of 882 rooms, Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba caters to the needs of every guest with its in-house art gallery, shops, bars, swimming pools, hair salons, restaurants and much more.

Opened in 2016, the sprawling Grand Nikko adopts elements of a Western hotel (large rooms, international restaurants) alongside unique Japanese details, such as impeccable service and high-end Japanese-style amenities.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • There are more than a dozen restaurants serving Italian, Japanese, French, Chinese and many other cuisines.
  • A hotel with its own mall is a wonderful advantage for busy travelers and incurable shopaholics. Outlets include a florist; a high-end French patisserie; a currency exchange; a convenience store; and boutiques selling Japanese stationery, gifts, clothes and watches.
  • Sushi or tempura for breakfast? Keen on Japanese modern art? Perhaps you fancy sleeping on a traditional buckwheat pillow or trying acupuncture? This modern hotel immerses you in Japanese hospitality and culture with all of these offerings.
  • Opt for an Executive Floor room. Residing on the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th floors, these accommodations come with more perks, including a dedicated lounge where you can enjoy a full breakfast and light bites and drinks throughout the day as well as access to the gym and pool (other guests have to pay a fee).
  • The luxurious marble bathrooms are stocked with fluffy Imabari towels, made in Ehime prefecture from the finest cotton and processed with pure water from the Sojagawa River. These are among the softest towels you’ll ever come across.

Things to Know

  • A spacious swimming pool and gym are available to guests (for a small fee).
  • Gallery 21 is an impressive modern art gallery within the Tokyo hotel displaying the work of international and local artists. Past exhibitions have featured the works of Banksy, Takashi Murakami and Francois Bret.
  • The luxury hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the train station, making the whole of Tokyo (and, indeed, Japan) available to you.

The Rooms

  • Classically appointed rooms and suites are equipped with a comfortable armchair and desk.
  • Choose accommodations based on your desired view. Rooms facing north overlook Rainbow Bridge and the cityscape.
